Apotex Recalls One Lot of Fluticasone Nasal Spray

This recall for Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray, from Apotex, Inc. was issued at a warehouse/pharmacy level only. Apotex, Inc. is recalling a single lot of Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray, 50 mcg per spray, 16 g, 120 Metered Sprays per bottle. Lot JJ7064 is being recalled because bottles in this lot may be contaminated with metal fragments.
Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray is used in the management of nasal symptoms of allergic and nonallergic rhinitis. Fluticasone nasal spray is also sold under the brand name Flonase and Veramyst. Other formulations of fluticasone are used to treat lung conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This recall alert only applies to the single lot of the generic Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray made by Apotex. No other fluticasone products were involved in this recall.
