Global Patient Feedback for Accolate

I have been taking 20 mg of accolate twice a day for 9 years now and have had no side effects. Before the accolate I suffered from asthma, sinusitis and then that would take me into chrnoic pneumonia. It got to the place that antibiotics and even the shots in the hospital were not working to cure the pneumonia. My Dr. tried the accolate and much to my surprise it cured me of all symptoms. I have not had pneumonia, sinusitis, an asthma attack for over 8 years now. I briefly tried singulair due to insurance and was instantly sick again. Went back on the accolate and was soon recuperating nicely. Now they have finally come out with a generic for accolate and my insurance only pays for that , however, I am just starting on it this week, so, I do not know if there will be any difference regarding symptoms using a generic form of this drug. If I have any more suffering on the generic I will ask my Dr. that she request that I have no generic substitutions or I will have to pay the price myself. I would rather pay the high price for the drug than to have no life without it!

I have been taking 20 mg. Accolate twice a day for 11 yrs. It is the only drug that helps me. Singulair is a joke. It made my asthma & allergies a whole lot worse. I actually did better with no medication than with it. There has been no problems with Accolate at all! I haven't had any crazy, suicidal dreams or thoughts while taking it. I think the ones that did were already having them & are just looking for something to blame. I'll never believe this wonderful drug that allows me to breathe caused anyone problems at all, much less that kind of problem!
