I'm taking Doxycycline(1000mg/daily) + Rifampin (600mg/daily) for Lyme/Bartonella. I read that the Doxy/Rifampin react to lessen effectiveness. Why would my Dr. give me these together? I've been in treatment for 9 mos and have used Doxy, Ceftan, Cipro, Rifampin.
