What does it do?

This product is used in the preventative treatment of strokes in those who have had previous strokes. It works by stopping platelets from gathering and sticking together.

I have been taking Aggrenox since 2006, two capsules daily, one in the morning & one at bedtime. I bruise very easily anymore & don' know if it' my age or the Aggrenox. I was put on this drug after I has 2 strokes at age 54. I am now 60. Deanna F

I was put on Aggrenox along with Lovastatin after having a TIA in September 2009. At the end of January 2010, I developed a rash from head to toes with 104 degree temperature and was hospitalized for a week with the doctors running all kinds of test. They decided it was a bad side effect with the Lovastatin and took me off of it and put me on 40mg of steriods daily for three months. Needless to say I developed steriod induced diabetes and steriod induced osteoporisis. I know longer have problesm with diabetes put I'm now taking Fosomax to deal with the osteoporisis. Other than that I haven't had anymore problems with the Aggrenox

I am a 74 y.o. female, retired nurse. Experienced a TIA June 2010. Prescribed Aggrenox two times daily. Get very light headed and off gait 1-2 hours after taking med. Lasts for better part of the day. Clears up in early eve. just before I need to take second dose. Very unpleasant feeling over the entire body. Vertigo is like having a bit too much to drink.
