Global Patient Feedback for Antivert (Meclizine)

Does anyone know what the differnce is between Menieres and occasional attacks of vertigo? I take Meclizine, sometimes. I had one vertigo attack about 6 years ago, and now I've had it 3 times in the last month. Lasts for about a week each time.I wake up with it in the morning, with no warning...and have problem getting out of bed. Dr gave me some head exersizes to do, but they don't seem to work very well. My husband of 60 years passed away in June, and I'm adjusting to all the life changes that come with such a tremendous loss. Dr says that may be the cause of the abrupt attacks. Thanks for your help...

the Meclizine worked great for my Vertigo diagnosis although I'd like to find out why I am having this now. Unfortunately the insurance decides if they want to cover this or not and since the oral distinegrating Zofran is only a $10 co pay I'm having to take this one but it isn't working as well. All day long feeling dizzy and tilting especially if I go from light to darkened rooms or turn corners of hallways etc. I wonder if I should increase the dosage since don't have the money for the big brother insurance companys who don't want to cover for God knows what reason.
