Global Patient Feedback for B1 (Thiamine)

I was prescribed Thiamine as a vitamin supplement earlier this year. I didn't think twice about being allergic to this. Even though it is water soluble, it also contains SULFA. All my Doctors' and their teams, know of all my medicines that I am either allergic to, or have a reaction from to include but not limited to; Tylenol, Vicodin, Estradiol creme which had to be compounded by a pharmacist, because it contains SULFA, Demoral, etc. CAUTION: If you are allergic to any SULFA based drug, do not take this!!!! I am highly allergic to anything containing SULFA. Within 30 minutes of taking the Thiamine, I was lethargic, in and out of consciousness, unable to walk, talk, move, memory loss, etc.

I have heard that increased B-1 reduces the effects (reactions) of insect bites, specifically mosquito bites, possibly fire ant bites. Currently I find relief from fire ant bites with Chlorpheniramine Maleate OTC ( Antihistamine) tablets
