I took metrinadazole for a gum infection. Had the worst furry tongue and metallic taste and then the other side effect which I had definitely not been told about "breast pain", it has now gone on for months and is still not better

I was put on Flagyl for IBS- I was on it for a month off it for 3 months then on it for 2 weeks, then off it for 2 months. The next time I was put on it I got worsening of my IBS symptoms and increased pain of my peripheral neuropathy. (I was told to take it for a month, but after 2 weeks this happened) This drug is known to cause peripheral neuropathy's and in patients who already have them it can be hard to tell when this is exhibiting. I stopped the drug and the side effects went away.
