I was prescribed Beclometazone in 1995 after a 4 month problem with a cough. The cough rapidly cleared up and I am still on the medication .I am now taking aspirin as an anti platelet so the Beclometazone helps with the associated increase in Asthma .The only side effect I have noticed is occasional blistering in the mouth and lips so rinsing well with water after inhaling is the answer.

I've been on QVAR for 3 years now. As stated earlier - you must thoroughly rinse your mouth - or brush your teeth immediately afterwards to prevent the development of thrush. I have had very good luck with QVAR and have found it to be much more effective than Advair - and with fewer side effects.
