Last summer I had hip pain that the Dr. said was Bursitis, Pain continued in the left thigh. When I went to Dr. for annual exam I told him I still had pain in the thigh. He told me that was a side affect of Boniva and took me off the med. 6 weeks later I slipped and fell in my house and had the atypical thigh fracture. It has been 6 months and I am still taking therapy, trying to walk. I am 87 years old but had always been active, dancing several times a week and walking 4 miles ever other day. For me the benefits DO NOT outweigh the risks. I would advise anyone to not take these medicines. Elsie
