Dr. has put me on Carafate for Gastritis, and now I am worried about taking my antidepressant, Pristiq which I need for severe depression, how should I take them? I have not been instructed and am worried it will not work properly. Thank You

I had a Whipple procedure 2 yrs ago, and have bile leaking into my stomach which causes a gnawing in my stomach. My doctor just put me on Sucralfate 3x a day before meals. It seems to really be helpful. I break them in half to make them easier to swallow.

I was prescribed Carafate years ago for stomach ulcers. My Dr. told me to disolve it in water first and then drink it, it doesn't taste very good, but it is the only thing that I have found that works. I don't take mine on a regular basis, only as needed. I also take Nexium to help with the ulcers, but sometimes that is just not enough. I love this stuff!
