My dr. took me off Celebrex and I miss it terribly. :(

I have had decent but not spectacular pain relief with Celebrex @ 300 mg/day. No GI problems, but I do use 30 mg/day Prevacid which would limit such effects. Other NSAIDs cause adverse GI effects; Tylenol is not useful for serious pain control

Does anyone know of an acceptable successor to Vioxx yet? I've been taking Celebrex since the withdrawal of Vioxx, but the relief has never approached that of Vioxx and the pain has been increasing all this time. I recall being told that the Rx for Celebrex was only temporary as something else was "in the pipeline." I now live several thousand miles from the doctor who told me that, and my present PCP doesn't know of any such replacement. Any suggestions...please?
