What does it do?
This product is primarily used for the treatment of depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal pain, and diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain. It works by prolonging the effect of serotonin and norepinephrine, both important chemicals in the brain.

I took Cymbalta because of depression, and the first 3 weeks I lost my appetite and lost a stone in weight. I have continued this with a healthy diet and have lost another 1/2 stone over the next 6 weeks.

My doctor started me on Cymbalta when it first came out on the market. I have been taking it now for 9 years for depression, musculoskeletal pain, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and fibromyalgia. I don't know what I would do without this medication. Since Cymbalta covers all of my symptoms I don't have to take any prescribed pain medications. This medication has truly enabled me to be able to have a normal lifestyle. Barb GA

I have been on Cymbalta for two years, I am taking sixty mg. I take it for fibroymyalia, depression, it works great, except for very dry mouth. But I am glad I can take it. It has really improved my value of life. Without it I would not be able to leave the house.
