I have been prescribed Oxycodone APAP 10/325 for the past 5 months. My neck was broken by the air-bag in my car. Surgery repaired the 4 vertebrae in my neck by fusing them with a steel plate. As long as I "Stay Ahead" of the pain, I feel fair. This means taking the prescribed dosage on a timed schedule rather than waiting for my neck and shoulders to hurt. I have no unwanted side effects, problems or interactions with the various meds I take.

I have been on oxycodine for 4 years 10/325 and flector patch for lower back issues. I have had steriod injections about every two months until they just stopped working. This past month they did a rozatomy on my nerves in my lower back, which has given me 40% relief. My problem is how long can I stay on the oxycodine without destroying or causing other issues to develope. I take 4-5 pills a day, they help 85% of the pain. The patch does nothing for pain for me. Having so many injections has already caused skin issues, arthritis in my spine. Whats next?Surgery has to be better than seeing my body age prematurely. My skin looks like I'm 80 instead of 59. Without the pills I get shakey, nausea, heat waves come over me, and somewhat of a doom feeling comes over me. Is this normal?

I have been on Oxycodone for about 6 years. I started with 3 5/500 pills a day and now take 1 5/500 pill a day. Also use Fentanyl. Started @ 75 mcg every 3 days. Went down to 50 mcg and am now on 37 mcg. I am trying so hard to wean off of the sedative drugs! I am also taking Adderall to keep me alert! Next I want to stop the 1 a day Oxy. I am on 5 sedative drugs and have many drug interaction warnings. I just want to feel alert again! I wonder just how bad the withdral would be???
