Global Patient Feedback for Erbitux

Please see our forum guidelines.

My husband was on Erbitux early last year for head and neck squamous cell cancer. The treatment was in conjunction with radiation treatment daily for 6 weeks. He ended up stopping Erbitux after 5 of his 8 treatment because his electrolites went out of control. After that point he was on daily doses of magnesium, etc. to bring the electrolites back in line. This continued until he was hospitalized for pnemonia a few days before the end of his radiation was due to finish. He was hospitalized for two months during which time he also ended up having a stroke. Did Erbitux play a role in this, I'm not sure.
