Global Patient Feedback for Fluoxetine (Fluoxetine)

I'm 21-year-old. I've been on Fluoxetine for 6 months now and it has been a lifesaver. After a 6-year constant depression episodes, and after having depression relapses with almost every single thing, I'm now satisfied with life and with a lot of living impetum. Little things that used to put me in that mood, are insignificant now. Really good medicine. The annoying side-effect was the insomnia, really heavy insomnia, but with Clonazepam everything is just fine now. Good luck.

I felt I should not have been put on it in the frist place for my slight depression. It gave me manic episodes full of energy and then very low points. So the doc then decided I had bipolar which was ok because they had another drug to help with that in conjunction with prozac. So I started zyprexa. I then gained 60 pounds but felt ok with it...felt ok with most everything. I am glad to say I have been drug free for two years, and I am not bipolar nor have I had any incidents like w prozac.

Has anyone ever had problems with different manufacturers of Prozac/fluoxetine? Have taken this off and on 30 years, last Rx gave me severe panic. Pills were different color, different manufacturer. Pharmacist/Dr felt this was not the cause but I stopped it and so did the panic. Im scared start a new prescription but Prozac is the only thing that does not give me side effects. Its unsettling with every new Rx to see different manufacturers of the same drug at the same pharmacy. anyone else?
