I started taking the injections of Imitrex when it first came out before the pills and was amazed at how quickly it took my migrain away. I did have side effects with the shot such as severe pain with the injection and it felt like my hair was on end across the top of my head as soon as I took it. That was around 1990 but when the pill came out it was even a better for my migraines. I take it when he first starts and in about 20 minutes I realize my migraine is gone. It works great and am so thankful it came out.

I've had severe migraines for 20 years. I have been taking Imitrex nasal spray for ten years. It has been a miracle drug. I take the spray as soon as I feel one coming on, and I haven't had one migraine progress. There are times when I have to take one spray a day for about a week. The pharmaceutal company recomments no more than 4 a month; but I am under dr's care and have no problems with it.

I have been getting sumatriptan (generic Imitrex) from a pharmacy in England for about four years and it works just as well as Imitrex.. The 50 MG tablets I use are $5.90 for 6 tablets plus a shipping charge. I usually purchase 8 packs of 6 (48) and with shipping figured in, it comes to about $1 a pill.
