I found out two years ago after I had a gastrojejunostomy done that I am iron deficient. The doctor didn't even tell me that that one of the problems would be that you can have multiple vitamin deficiencies.Since I have a history of stomach ulcers, I am afraid to take iron pills since it seems to aggravate stomach ulcers.Does anyone know where you can get iron pills that doesn't cause stomach pain?

I was diagnosed with iron deficient anemia. My insurance would not pay for prescription iron pills. My doctor told me to buy over the counter iron pills. I had some trouble with them until I found a vegetarian iron pill at Whole Foods. I am now fine. No more anemia.
