Global Patient Feedback for Lamictal XR (Lamotrigine)

I have been on Lamictal 200mg, twice daily for almost 11 years. I experience super difficulty sleeping through any night and also I have at least two seizures a month. My seizures are when asleep only post brain surgery, left temporal. Difficulty with short term memory is obvious too I wonder if others also have noticed this often. Gosh, how long have others been on these, or any, epilepsy drugs? This coming July 4th, is my 50th anniversary of first seizure and the start of drugs.

I have been taking Lamictal (Lamotrigene) 200mg twice per day for 4 years and have been seizure free for that same period. This is the only medication I take, and my reaction to any health change is to explore if there's any relationship to the Lamictal. In the last 12 months, without change in diet or exercise, have experienced a noticable increase in blood pressure. I've not seen any commentary about this being a side effect, but am wondering if anyone else may have experienced the same.

I have been taking Lamictal (Lamotrigene) 200mg twice per day for 4 years and have been seizure free for that same period, so the efficacy is as desired, however I have been plagued with short term memory loss that has increased noticably over the 4 years. Has anyone been successful at reducing the memory loss while staying on the med? Perhaps by reducing dosage? My doctor suggests that it's just a tradeoff that I need to live with but I'm hopeful this is not the case.
