More of a question than a comment. I have 2 Lantus SoloStar pens that don't work. The medication does not come out of the pen. Has anybody else had this problem?

So glad to find this website. I have been on 50 units of Lantus at nighttime for two yrs and also on Synthroid which keeps going up. I just changed doctors. New doc put me on Victoza injection at 10 a.m., then Kombiglyze after supper, 175 mcg of Synthroid, 40 mg of Benicar and 45 units of Lantus at bedtime. So frustrated over the cost as well. Having side effects but great decrease in ravenous hunger. I hope this input helps anyone else out there and I welcome your responses.

I have been on Lantus since January of 2011, I was taking 10u every night at 10pm. My blood sugar was higher than my doctor wanted (145 - 175 range). So he told me to increase by 2u every two days to get it better controled. I am now up to 38u every night and my blood sugar is now running in the 190 - 270 range. Higher in the morning after fasting. Is this normal? my mid day tests are sometimes now in the low to mid 300s. Should I keep increasing my dose or go back to what was working before?
