I have degenerative disc disease, stenosis and 3 herniated discs in my back. I have tried several medications without success. After Years of being unable to sleep more than 1 at a time. My doctor prescribed methocarbamol. The pain is still an issue though not as much. I finally can sleep through the night. However waking up is a process. Being groggy and disoriented upon waking is a problem. If I have appointments or scheduled activities the next day. I can not take methocarbamol (500 mg) due to trouble waking up the next day. I have slept through a fire alarm test of my building after taking methocarbamol the night before.

Methocarbamol is a wonder drug! Methocarbamol is available OTC in Canada (with no narcotics)at a lower dosage. Searching for a headache remedy, I came across it on the store-shelf, purchased it, and was surprised to see that it worked to relieve some of my headaches (since Dx as migraines). Now that I have severe degenerative disk disease as well as arthritis in my wrists that interfers with getting a good night's sleep (though I have no trouble falling alseep). I take 750 mg nightly.
