What does it do?
This product is primarily used in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease and primary Restless Leg Syndrome. It is thought to work by stimulating the dopamine receptors, but the exact mechanism of action is unknown.

I have been taking Mirapex for at least three years and it really does the trick for me. I take one about 5:00p.m. and two more about an hour before I go to bed. If I forget to take them my legs are like I'm running in my sleep, as my husband says. I have tried other medications but Mirapex works the best for me. Does Mirapex cause some weight gain?

I see there is a side effect from Meripex that I con't recall seeing before. Unusual skin growths. Is this something new? Is it serious?

I have lived with RLS my whole life.Dr.'s and I have tried many remedies and mirapex was the only thing that made a real difference.( There was many a night I gladly drank glasses of warm tonic water with quinine before-horrible as that tasted) I have noticed over the years though that it seems to lessen it's effectiveness . I seem to need a higher and higher dose and to need it earlier and earlier in the day. I also know that it needs to have LOTS of time to work BEFORE I drink any alcohol.
