I want to know if there is anyone who wears a Fentanyl Patch and is also wearing a Nicotine patch. Can you wear both of them at the same time? I am just afraid to do that. I don't want to have any additional side effects. I just want to quit smoking and it is very hard. We, I think have to just make our mind up and do it and that is very hard. Is there anyone that wears both of them at the same time?I need your input. Please let me know how it is working for you. Thank you..Karen

I'm using the NiQuitin Clear Step 1 Patches to very good effect. The only side-effect that I have experienced are vivid dreams but these are eradicated if you remove the patch before going to sleep and then apply the next one immediately upon waking up.

I have been useing nicotrol for 15 months. Prescribed to me after my heart attack as a smoking deterent. It works great! But, there are side effects. The side effects I have experienced is coughing after initial spraying in nostril. Feels like I have maced myself. I never have been maced but, I could imagine it feels something like it. Also, swelling of the inner membrane of my nostrils and cavity area making it hard to breath at night. Not extreme swelling, but enough to be uncomfortable sometimes. Also I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes trying to expel phlem out of my throat. Kind of feels like sandy phlem. All and all I guess it is better for me than smoking. Now how do I get off Nicotrol? It will be easier for me to quit Nicotrol I believe, than to quit cigarettes cold turkey.
