Global Patient Feedback for Norvasc (Amlodipine)

Norvasc or Amlodipine are the only drugs that controls my blood pressure at reasonable levels. I am 75 years old and have had high blood pressure since I was checked at 12 years of age. I had some serious heart enlargement in my twenties but luckily diuretics were available and they reduced my blood pressure to a lower level but still on the high side.....perhaps saving my life. Norvasc works well for me with some side effects. Rich at 75

After a couple of months on Azor, a combination of Amlodipine and another drug, the doctor changed the med to a lower dose of Amlodipine and Diovan. I continued to have feet that looked like the Hulk!! So I'm back on Diovan as well as Medopropanol. I still have some edema, but my blood pressure is back down in the 130 range, not the 188 after the sudden loss of my Husband, just before Christmas.
