I have taken 20 MEQ of potassium cl. each day (at night) for several years. No problem with it. Now I have been prescribed Enablex (Darifenacin) for overactive bladder. It has a caution to monitor condition if taking potassium chloride. Is potassium chloride and potassium citrate the same product? Is citrate safer to take with Enablex or should I not take the potassium chloride at all. I also take calcium citrate and magnesium and vit. D1 and B12?

I have ben taking potasium for about 30 years as it was very low at that time when I had surgery. Now it is up to 5. I really don't think I need it any more. I also take Aldactone and My pharamcy keeps telling me to be careful that the level does not get to high. I am considering not taking it for a week before I go to have my labs. done. I feel like I am on to much medication.
