It is important to remember..everyone's MS is unique and we all react to the medications differently. There is not a one size fits all with this crazy disease. It is great that we now have a choice. 20 years ago there were no medications. I am very greatful to the research and am optimistic about a future without MS.

I was on Copaxone for years with no ill effects. Because insurance dictates health I had to switch to Rebif. Rebif stings and leaves red marks that last at least a month. Not very pretty. The Copaxone was part of my daily routine with no problems ever. Now I look like a clown with these red marks. Only place that doesn't show much is the stomach area, which hopefully no one other than myself or doctor will see. Any suggestions on reducting these branding marks?

I have been on Rebif since 2003, and was previously on Avonex for 2 years. I switched to Rebif as I was not doing well on the Avonex and had exacerabations every few months on Avonex. I feel that I got my life back once I started taking Rebif. The brain fog that I had experienced for several years went away almost immediately! I suddenly had more energy and was able to do a little bit more. I have had NO relapses since starting Rebif almost 9 years ago and feel very fortunate for this medication. I have my liver counts checked every 6 months, and am also on Neurontin & Nuvigil for the MS. The only Rebif side effects I experience are the red spot on the injection sites (but this redness helps me determine where to do my next shot), occasional bruising. Both of these are minor in comparison to the benefits I have experienced with Rebif.
