Global Patient Feedback for Remicade

I am hoping to get some information that I could not find on the website of Remicade and I do not think my doctor has the specific information. I will be starting a treatment of Remicade and methotrexate for my RA (dx in 2005) shortly. I am just a little nervous about the fact that some people have developed lymphoma while taking this medication. All of the literature I have read has indicated that young children and teenage males being treated for Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis have reported developing lymphoma. I am wondering if there have been any reports people being treated for RA developing lymphoma. I am adopted so I have no family history. I am not letting this stop me for getting the treatment; I am just concerned and want to be prepared just in case. I live alone and have no outside help.

I have been on remicaid for at least 4 years. I get zofran and benadryl as pretreats. Now, I have no reactions to the infusion. Also, I stay on the slow infusion rate with gradual increase. It takes 3-4 hours. I love remicaid and it has done so much for me. It has definately increased my quality of life. I am getting it for ulcerative colitis. Having UC for more then 30 years this is a wonder drug. Prior to starting this they wanted my colon out. Now it isn't an issue. I love remicaid!
