What does it do?

This product is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid (Budesonide) and a bronchodilator (Formoterol).

symbicort makes me horse and irritates my throat.other than that i find no problem with it.

Thank the patient for saying that using this med did change her ability to talk. I've found myself with the "squeaky voice" from time to time and I now will gargle after using the med. It would be nice if te doctor also spelled out all the possible side effects and the good and bad that cmes with using this med.

I am on Symbicort and I worried about the side effects with this drug. I have problems with talking for a period of time. My voice almost quit working. I can no longer sing in church. After a visit to my lung doctor, he told me to make sure that not only should I rinse my mouth out after using this drug, I should gargle at least twice. I tried it and my voice is now normal. I felt as though the makers of Symbicort should have had a warning about gargling. After my yearly physical, I plan on asking the doctor to change this medication. So very many side effect from medications!
