I take caare of 3 gransons, 2 of them take Vyvanse for several reasons: the eldest 10yrs has been taking it for ADHD/ADD, anxiety, anger issues, and depression. For him it has worked to help him focus in his school and curved his anxieties somewhat, he still has high strung issues as he only takes one in the am. The 7yr old also is on it and it also has helped him thus far in school, with his anxiety and depression long enough, also taken in the am, to help him focus better and later they have something to help them sleep. Vyvanse has helped both the brothers in all three areas and taken in the am it has improved their acedemic studies profoundly.

30 year old male diagnosed with Depression; although I also have anxiety, ADD and OCD tendencies. I use this in combination with Pristiq. Previously I had taken Strattera, and that was a really bad experience (awful side effects and limited improvement of symptoms) so my doctor switched me to a low dose of Vyvanse (20 mg). I started taking Vyvanse about six weeks ago and so far it has been really helpful. It has improved my ability to focus and has stopped the "racing thoughts" in my head, which has plagued me for most of my adult life. Initially there was a loss of appetite but it has returned to normal; nevertheless I have lost about 15 lbs. since I started, which was fine by me (I was about 30 lbs. overweight at the time I began). The increased libido is another "good" side effect of the med.
