What does it do?

This product is used in the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne. Its exact mechanism of action is unknown, but it inhibits the normal sebum secretion of the pores.

i am a 16 year old boy, and lately, i went to see a doctor about my skin problem. i do have quite some terrible acne breakout sometimes and my chest as well as my whole body, are having big and lots of acne. this doctor actually prescribed me to this medication (isotretinoin) for 6 months and he guaranteed that all my acne problem would be gone for good. HOWEVER, when my dad asked the doctor whether this drug have any side effects, he said no, confidently. (except for the dry eyes and lips cracking) i was amazed with this drug miracle. but somehow i feel that i better check this med out in the internet. and the results turn out to be bad mental problem, swelling of the brain, and so many more. this really shocked me. i just started taking this med today and i do wish to have advice from somebody whether is this med safe to use or not. i am really confuse now.

OMG PEOPLE DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!!!!!! IT RUINED MY LIFE!!!! It got rid of my acne but my brain SWELLED and I was unable to TALK for a year...nobody knew what was wrong with me cuz i couldn't tell them the Accutane is doing this! IT HAS BEEN PULLED OFF THE MARKET BECAUSE IT RUINS PEOPLES LIVES I have permanent health disorders due to Accutane. Accutane is the reason I will be heavily medicated for the rest of my life.
