Why would the generic form of this by Teva not work as well as the name brand? I am on 5 mg. XR. Is this a common problem with the generic of Adderall?

If you're unaware of the risks it is up to you to seek out this information. You are your own advocate. It's sad you can't rely on the dr to tell you the risks. At least talk to your pharmacist. In my case where I take numerous meds, I went & bought a book on prescription drugs to answer a lot of my questions. If the doctor told you to smoke 20 cigarettes a day, wouldn't you question his reasoning? Don't put just anything in your mouth cause the dr tells you to. You have the right to say no.
