I was taken off Lipitor in December as it was affecting my liver - in blood work, my liver "number" was 687; a dangerous level. So far that number has come down below 200 but still too high. I have been told I can never take it again. I have to see a specialist now to determine if I can take another statin or if I am off for good. -+

I have been taking 10 milligrams of Lipitor and then 5mg. for many years but for a yr. have been having very cold even painful feet, and then aching legs. Have had to wear socks at night. I decided to stop it about 2 wks. ago and feel like both legs and feet have improved. Feet still feel cold, but not as painful. Is this a symptom from taking Lipitor?

Can these drugs to lower cholesterol cause severe headache on one side of the head and strong sensitivity to light in one eye?
