What does it do?

Since going on insulin, I have gained about 18 pounds and can't seem to take it off.

You do not appear to have my Insulin in your list. I use Aprida in a insulin infusion pump. In the main it operates in a similar way to Actrapid, but is suppose to be able to be injected before a meal rather than a quarter to half an hour before

HumulinR works well for me in my insulin regiment along with lantus. I use humulin. To lower my blood sugar after meals. It has worked very well for me. I am on a sliding scale and dose acording to what my blood sugar is at the time. I'm very careful with my doses as humulin can cause low blood sugar if not used correctly and according to the doctors perscription.humulin has been very effective in lowering my high blood sugar. I'm very happy with my insulin regiment as it keeps my levels under tight control.
