I was diagnosed with MS in 2007 and I was taking Rebif for the first year and my only side effects was I was getting migraines a lot. Now I am on betaseron and the only thing I don't like about it is some time after the injection I get a marble size bump where the shot was taken. My nurse says that I should be massaging it after and use a ice pack. I would like to know if there is another way of not getting these bumps?

I am encouraged to hear all of this. I am about to start Betaseron. I was diagnosed in 2004 and tried eating healthy to keep off the exacerbations. It seemed to work for a couple of years, but then a bad exacerbation scared me and I went on Copaxone. My only side effects are site reactions, itching and dimpling of skin, but my Dr. does not believe it is doing all it should with an increase now in exacerbations and new lessions. I hope not to have significant side effects with the Betaseron.
