I am a Narcoleptic, and I take Modafinil, (provigil), to attempt some form of control, but with out the 400 to 600 mg's of "Caffeine" I take each day, I sleep 16 to 20 hours. I'd have no control over the sleep, without "Caffeine" pills, I just fall asleep anywhere!

I am currently taking, Abilify, Cymbalta, Zoloft, Napraxon, Tremadol, Lunesta and clonidine. I drink 10 cups of coffee a day to get me going. Because I wake up drowsey in the mournings. And I feel like taking on the day. I don't think this is hurting my medications I am taking. But maybe I should find out if it is. I mean I feel fine after drinking that much coffee. It takes that much to knock out the drowseyness.

I get little to no sleep some days and Alert really helps me stay awake at work when I really need it, I take 2 Alerts and about 30 to 40 minutes later I am more awake and able to do my job safely. Some people tell me its like drinking a cup of coffee but I can't stand coffee so this is a good allteritive.
