Global Patient Feedback for Cannabis

To all the people who say that smoking the herb is perfectly harmless: sorry, but you are unfortunately mistaken. Cannabis may not directly cause lung cancer like tobacco does, according to studies, but it certainly does introduce all sorts of matter in your lungs that simply does not belong there. And a lot of it, because the cannabis smoke is often inhaled deeper and kept inside longer than cigarette smoke. Some people do it to the point that nothing is exhaled, meaning that all that thick smoke is absorbed in their lungs. This is extremely bad for you. When you mix cannabis and tobacco this is particularly terrible. There is a much safer way to inhale the THC from marijuana and it involves using a vapouriser (vaporizer in the USA). Google it. Of course cannabis can also be eaten but dosage is problematic in that way. Not helpful for medicinal use. Small, clean hits from a vapouriser until you reach that place where you need to be is what I recommend.

I have been prescribed Cannabis and find one way to use it that helps with pain is to make an infusion, mix it with aloe vera gel, and rub it on. There are NO side effects. Not even the "high" from smoking or eating it! It's not good to eat it anyway if you have stomach problems, although I'm convinced the associated nausea is from having too much of it without other enough other things to eat. I use a crock pot, and cook outside-it smells HORRIBLE!!-crumble dry leaves and any budlets that aren't quite big enough to bother with smoking, and add oil just to cover. Cook on low for about 4 hours and strain. I recycle wine bottles with corks for storage. I believe there are about 13 states in which either a doctor can actually prescribe or just recommend use for patients. I have also had problems with my regular doctor believing in the use of this herb. My 'other' doctor is conscientious and caring, and that clinic also has nutrition classes, grow classes and go over all the legal stuff to make sure we patients are within state laws when we grow and use this important medicine.

I believed in herb for anxiety for years, but didn't realize how much it really helped till I stopped due to quitting smoking cigs/cigars. This eventually only led me to a prescription for Lexapro to manage anxiety and headaches. But I started bouts of insomnia then! I'm against the smoke part still, so I use it in recipes instead. I use less and have far more benefits and costs then manmade scripts. Funny how some raise an eyebrow to herb for helping you cope, but not to scripts used to help you cope. At least herb has been around for years unlike some medications we've become immune to after awhile. btw: I worked in labs and I'm too aware of human error in producing medications and waivers used to ship products. You should also use the same cautions in herb. Good luck, Feel Better! 44yr old female
