Global Patient Feedback for Capozide

I am a 53 year-old non-smoking teetotaller who has a history of hypertension. I've had every BP med there is and was taking Lisinopril until it made me feel weird. I saw my GP and asked about Losartan, which did no better. He then prescribed Capozide 50. This is a Captopril 50mg with 25mg Hydrochlorothiazide, the latter being a diuretic, which I have had before in with Lisinopril and on its own. It makes you pass water more frequently. I took the prescription of 2 tablets a day at first but this gave me really bad headaches and so I went down to one and then reduced to a half. I have suffered from panic attacks and had a bad one the other day, so went back to the Doctors. He told me that I definitely have hypertension and to continue to take the full tablet and a beta-blocker (Propranolol) if I get anxious again. I took one shortly after and I felt better. I was bad again on Sunday so I took another and I started to get a missed heartbeat and feel dizzy. I've only taken a full Capozide once since and no more Propranolol and yesterday evening checked my BP. It was high so I took a Capozide and felt okay until I had eaten late and went to bed, feeling anxious and having sleep disturbance through palpitations and toilet visits. My GP said that I should build-up to two tablets again but I appear to be suffering the side-effects published in the Capozide information leaflet. I am due to see an Endocrinologist next month, but am reluctant to take any more Capozide because of the effects, no matter when I take them and seemingly after food.
