My 83 year old father was diagnosed with Parkinson's and has been taking carbidopa/levodopa for 2 months. I think he is walking better and seems to be more alert; but Dad says he feels terrible all the time ...as if his next step will be his last. The doctor says this is a "honeymoon effect" and will last about 3 or 4 months, then my dad will feel much better. Has anyone else dealt with the "honeymoon effect" and how long will it last?
