My doctor prescribed Doxazosin Mesylate 4mg for problems emptying my bladder caused by radiation treatment for prostate cancer. I already take Atenolol for high blood pressure. Any danger in taking 2 drugs that are used for high blood pressure?

I've taken one tablet of Doxazosin nightly for the past 15 years. I'll be 74 in January and remain in excellent health. However, if I miss taking that pill even one night, by the afternoon of the next day, I have the same lack of urine flow I had when I began. I'm really thankful for my urologist putting me on it.
