Have been taking Plavix for two and a half years now, and haven't noticed any side effects, or problems at all with it.

I failed my stress test in May 20111 and went into GW Hospital for heart catherization in June 2011. I had a narrowing and the artery grabbed the cather so he installed a stent. The Dr. put me on Plavix for 1 year. He also reccommended Niacin. The Niacin seems to be dissolving the plaque in my arteries. Work up to 2,000 mg a day. Take 400 mg (2 at breakfast,) then next day 2 at breakfast and 2 at lunch. You can buy the flush free brand. Hope this helps Bruce 67 years old Male

First of all you and you alone know your own body. Doctors treat you like the norm.Which means if a certain medicine or procedure is used for thousands of people it is OK for you. This is not TRUE!!! I almost met the Grim Reaper quite a few times being treated like the norm till they all found out I had a rare disease and put me through HELL for 18 long months. Work with your Doctors but find another if they are not willing to listen and work with you! They are not GOD,Good luck. 64 year old male MediGuard....
