I am on Diovan 160 in the morning and same dose in the evening with no apparent side effects. My blood pressure has been steady within normal range for heart patients.

I am on Diovan 80 mg twice a day for B/P. It appears to control the blood pressure well but have had increased shortness of breath with the increase in dosage. I started on 40 mg daily then 80 mg daily and now at 160 mg total daily. I cannot not walk up a slight incline or walk up one flight of stairs without leaving me breathless. The doctor assures me it is not Diovan. Literature that I read says that the makers of Diovan have had complaints of shortness of breath. So what is going on?
