I have been taking Diovan hct 180 mg for 5 yrs. my blood pressure was very high. and for 5 years the diovan controlled it nicely. recently (the last three months). I have been tired and dizzy alot. I went to see my dr. and my blood pressure was low, very low. she changed my script to 80mg and took out the hct.. a month went by and my bp is still low. I have a bp meter at home and as advised I have been checking it twice a day. To control my BP I now take 80mg diovan ever 3 days. Is it normal to change bp so drastically? I am now 51 yrs old.

I've been taking Diovan 320/25 for several months and it controls my blood pressure very well. However, I have had what seems to be a cold four times since last September, each time symptoms are worse. The last incident included fever and a severe cough. Tested negative for the flu and blood work indicated that my white blood count was high. I have read that a side effect of the Diovan 320/25 is the common cold. I am also experiencing extreme fatigue. Has anyone else suffered what seems to be a cold while taking this medication? My doctor does not believe it is the Diovan.

I take my Diovan HCT in the morning. Does anyone take it at night before going to bed? I heard somewhere to take BP meds in the evening. I'm going to my Dr. soon to ask, but anyone have any experience with taking meds in the evening? I have MS, hypothyroid, hbp and depression so I'm on other meds too.
