I posted earlier.. Husband on Lexapro 20 gms for seven years. It isn't doing much good anymore..he's never cared much about sex so the libido lack hasn't been a factor. So easily agitated every day is gloomy, though he's never been suicidal..just angry at the world. How does he get onto another drug?. Our GP may not be well versed in mood drugs. is Welbutrin a better suggestion or what else is out there?

I'd been on lexapro for over ten yrs. when I decide I didn't need it anymore and went off it suddenly. I was off it for only about 11/2 weeks when I experienced a sever anxiety attack and hot flashes. I went back on it immediately but have continued to have hot flashes and have not had a good libido for probably ten yrs. Does anyone have any advice? I'm afraid to go off it in fear of the anxiety attacks and sever hor flashes.
