Global Patient Feedback for Evista

I am wondering if I should cut dose of Evista to 3 x week. I have been taking it over 10 years, am 74 years of age and have increasingly gained weight, had night leg and foot cramps throughout this period and had no idea it could be the Evista. Have developed a painful bunion (big toe) within last 3 months - out of the blue! Could this be gout or increased uric acid causing this? Would like to hear others opinions on both discontinuing Evista and the bunion.

I have always been an avid exerciser and do not lead a sedentary life. Due to osteoporosis (in spite of all precautions) my doctor prescribed Evista. I was on it for about 8 months when I experienced severe swelling in one of my wrists and a week later in one of my legs. It was determined that I had developed blood clots. I stopped taking the drug immediately and was placed on a blood thinner. It was an unbelievably painful experience. Age: 57 Female

I am 74 years old and have been taking Evista for 8 years to prevent osteoporosis. About 18 months ago I started having leg cramps quite often. The doctor suggested I cut the dosage to a half a pill per day which has alleviated the leg cramps and doesn't seem to have had an adverse effect on my bone density scores.
