I have been taking flovent hfa 220 for one week. my asthma does not seem to be getting better, does it take more than a week to help? I was taking Advair 250/50 for years, but was scared to continue because of all the FDA warnings about asthma related deaths from Advair. Also does anyone know about asmanex? I have asthma since I was 5.

I tried Flovent for 3 mos. I kept getting infections in my lungs. Starting w/an irritating cough, then bronchitis, continuous for the 3 months (4x in all). At first, I didn't connect the Flovent w/the infections, I only passed them off as worsening of my allergies. Then, I thought it was my enviroment(I work in a school). I recently stopped using it to see if that was the problem. I have done so much better since. Do you think that I was having an allergic reaction to it? 42 year old - MediGuard

My 12 year old daughter has been on Flovent since she was two. Should I be concerned. I do know she has been recently experiencing headaches.
