I am 34 year old female who has been on an insulin pump for about 10 years. My pump requires Humalog insulin and it is awesome. With the pump I am in much better control of my sugars. I use to spend a minimum of 10 hospital visits and stays a year, since I have been on the pump and using Humalog I have not been to the hospital once in 10 years. It is awesome!

I am a female diabetic for 40 yrs. I have taken lantus approx 112 yrs, and humalog around 8 . The only thing I will tell you, to be sure and take the right insulin. I once took 72 units in the evening. During the day I would take humalog three times a day, probably. When It came to the night time injection, being tired sometimes I have reached for the humalog and I have drawn it up 3 times in the last few years and gave myself that shot instead of lantus. That is scary, thank the Lord I became aware of what happened and was able to compensate for it by watching and taking proper medication so my sugar would not bottom out. I now do not talk humalog often, but it is in a different place and not easy to get to, so no mistakes can be made. Thank you.
