I am a 30 yr old woman. I got hit with Fibromyalgia after having my daughter. Did the gabapentin, tramadol, flexeril, peroxicam, darvocet, valium, lyrica(the 200 mg did ok but was unable to function well enough to care for my daughter. cymbalta (that one was by far the worst for me), with no relief. My hopes for relief were dwindeling until trying the Ralafen. I'm not crazy about the black box warnings, but being able to bath my daughter as well as myself sometimes is great. Between that and some nasty but effective steroid shots, lifes been a bit better.

Based on my experience with nabumetone or Relafen, it's probably the best N-SAID for people with moderate to severe intestinal disorders such as Crohn's Disease. N-SAIDs all have the potential for stomach or intestinal distress, but Relafen seems to be less like to cause such problems or the problems seem to be less bothersome. It has always been effective in treating mild to moderate arthritis pain (I have osteoarthritis and enteropathic arthritis) for me. Your results may vary! Sorry, but I have found that drug effects are highly personal. But with people who have digestive tract problems and chronic joint pain, this drug can often be the lesser of evils.

I have been diagnosed with RA and Osteoarthritis, and have chronic pain. I lost the use of my hands due to very painful nodules on the joints in my fingers. I could not write or do any other daily function that had to do with detail dexterity. Due to other health issues, some medications are not possible for me. I spoke to many of my doctors about my hands and they could not help. I finally saw an expert who prescribed this medication and within 2 days the nodules started to decrease, within a week, I could not see them. I have missed my dosage at night and in the morning the pain starts back and I can barely see the nodules but in my case, this medication brought me back the use of my hands. There are side effects. Dizzyness, stomach problems, etc. but that is minor compared to the benefits to me.
