Global Patient Feedback for Nuvaring

Used it for seven years to control excessive periods. The first year was tough, but now that my body is acclimated, its AMAZING! So glad my doctor encouraged me to stick with it. No cramps and very little in mood change, and for a 44 year old perimenopausal woman that great!

I have had the worst experience with the nuvaring. After I started using it I started getting headaches. They would come once a week and then started getting more and more frequent. One day I experienced "vision disturbances." I took the ring out and was fine for awhile. I developed severe panic attacks after that, thinking something might be wrong because I have never had headaches in my life. My ob told me I had a very bad reaction to the nuvaring and should stay away from hormonal BC from now on. I have to take xanax now to help calm me down.

I have been on it for 2 years now, few symptoms, 3 day periods, a little nausea, no cramps, but i get cranky the first week i have it in. so worth it though, cause its so hard to mess up on this, just think about it once a month! I would suggest this method to any woman!
