I've taken Pravastatin for several years and have had no (known) side effects. It, in combination with Zetia, has helped lower my overal cholesterol to under 90. My doctor takes blood every quarter to check for any effects to my organs. I'm a type 1 diabetic on insulin and take BP meds too.

There may be pharmaceutical company employees posting positive comments here about statins. After all, they spend millions and millions on advertising. It would be worth their while to be here - and mediguard could not identify them. Just be careful. Be aware that most doctors are NOT aware of all the side effects (some dangerous) of statin drugs. Having read thousands of patient reports on statins, I would not touch them again for any reason. They interfere in our bodies at mitochondrial level.
