What does it do?

This product is used primarily in the treatment of primary hyperaldonsteronism, edema, and high blood pressure. It works by acting as an antagonist to aldosterone, and thus causes sodium and water to be excreted.

I have been on it a year. I have Diabetes Type 2. I wake up with stiff hands.My right one is worse/amleftyC. No Arthritis. Anyone else have this? Not carpal tunnel. This is scary - please give feedback.

Started taking Spironolactone about two years ago. I have since gone into kidney failure. Kidney function dropped to 15%. I stopped taking Spironolactone about 2 weeks ago and my kidney function is suddenly up to 28%. I'm 66 year old female.
