I take the generic brand twice a day 25 mg each time. I find that this medication really helps control my migraines. I've had migraines my whole life and this has been a real blessing. My daughter however does not like this medication, she found that her memory was effected and she even though her migraines were somewhat controlled on the medication, she didn't like the way her head felt (cotton candyish). 58 yr old female

I was wondering if anyone has had any swallowing problems associated with Topamax? I started on 25mg daily for migraines then was increased to 50 mg. After about 6 months I developed problems swallowing. To the point that I couldn't even swallow my saliva. I stopped taking it for awhile and the problem went away. But my migraines started again. I have started back on 25mg again and am hoping I don't have any more problems. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
